Northside Montessori School’s Toddler Program serves children ages 18-36 months in a small and intimate group of 12 children with two teachers. Their environment conforms to the physical needs of the children in both the size of furnishings and opportunities for motor development. Child-sized furniture is minimal to allow for movement with defined spaces to develop coordination.
Our toddler program cultivates the four major areas to help prepare children for life: concentration, order, gross and fine motor skills, and independence. Our teachers create a nurturing environment where young children experience their first structured contact with other children.
Parents can enroll their toddler in a two, three, or five day program which runs 8:40-11:20 am. If a toddler has a sibling in the Preschool/Kindergarten class, he/she may come at the same times as their sibling.
"The development of the child during the first three years after birth is unequaled in intensity and importance by any period that precedes or follows in the whole life of the child."
~ Dr. Maria Montessori
